Guide: This checklist is derived only from MCC Mag’s published articles linked below.
1. Map the operating environment
Begin with the existing physical and digital infrastructure. Document coverage needs, legacy interfaces, interference sources, operational constraints and the people who depend on the system.
2. Design for continuity
Plan redundant paths, diverse technologies, power resilience, monitoring and a tested recovery sequence. Reliability is an architecture decision, not a feature added after deployment.
3. Protect every layer
Apply encryption, authentication, access control, device management and continuous monitoring across the full communication chain.
4. Integrate in stages
Use compatibility assessment, pilots and measured rollouts to connect new wireless capability without disrupting established operations.
