Zetron Equipment Deployed in Tennessee 9-1-1 Center (2/2/10)

The Clarksville-Montgomery County 9-1-1 center in Clarksville, Tenn., installed a new Zetron VoIP call-taking system and is now prepared for next-generation 9-1-1 (NG 9-1-1). The agency is ready for new standards that will apply to 9-1-1 centers throughout the United States and Canada, ensuring that the agencies will be able to receive 9-1-1 calls, regardless of the message format — voice, text, data or image — or type of device used to send it.

The center also replaced its aging radio dispatch system with Zetron’s communications control system. Greer Communications of Clarksville installed both systems.
