EAS National Testing Comments Due March 1 (2/1/10)
Comments for the FCC’s second further notice of proposed rulemaking on the emergency alert system (EAS) must be filed by March 1. Reply comments are due March 30.
The rulemaking was released Jan. 12. The notice provides for national testing of the EAS and collection of data from such tests. A summary of notice was published in the Federal Register Jan. 29.
